A Thousand Worlds of Harry Potter and the Curse of Slytherin

Chapter 3

Harry had a dream.

In the dream, he was standing in a dark room. He looked around and saw a faint ray of light coming down from the ceiling in front of him. It was as dazzling as the stars.

He began to walk forward.

He had never had such a dream before, but he had a vague feeling in his heart that he knew what was going to happen next.

He continued to walk forward and passed through a mysterious corridor …

Almost there … That's it …

Reach out … Push the door open …

Slowly, Harry reached out his hand and pushed it toward the door …

He seemed to have had the same dream before, and … that dream was fake. He had paid a heavy price for it.

"Ha!"

Harry's hand suddenly stopped. He said loudly to the door with a hint of pride, "You tricked me into coming here, didn't you?

This is the Department of Mysteries of the Ministry of Magic!

You want me to see Sirius behind the door?

Covered in blood?

You want to lure me there! "

For some reason, Harry was so sure.

"It's fake!

It's fake!

Sirius is sleeping soundly in the bedroom next door! "

Harry mercilessly mocked the unknown opponent in the dream. He pushed the door open and said, "Let me see how you dress up Sirius this time!"

Then, he saw rows upon rows of crystal balls that contained prophecies flickering weakly on the shelves. At the end of the shelves, there was a bloody and extremely miserable figure lying on the ground. He slowly turned his head, and black hair slid down his cheeks …

Harry suddenly felt a splitting headache. He trembled and covered his forehead. His heart felt as if it was being cut into pieces by countless sharp knives. He heard himself screaming in despair, "No!

No!

No — "

"No!"

Harry sat up suddenly, and the blanket fell from his body. He stared for a while before he realized where he was. He was not at the Ministry of Magic, and there were no crystal balls. This was the Burrow. They had already returned to Weisles' house a day earlier.

Ron, who was on the bed next to him, turned over and mumbled in a daze, "What's wrong, buddy?

Is the scar hurting again?

You'll get used to it … "He fell asleep again and even let out a loud snoring sound.

Harry raised his wrist and looked at his watch. It was four o 'clock in the morning. He fell back on the pillow and couldn't sleep anymore.

To prevent the Dementors from appearing again, and to prove that the Ministry of Magic was not behind Harry's attack, Forgy informed Harry that he would send two Auror squads to escort Harry safely to the Hogwarts.

Everyone was unhappy. Everyone knew that these Auros were here to monitor Harry, not to protect her.

George said seriously, "Maybe Forgy thinks you're going to distribute leaflets —"

"Shout —" Fred winked at him.

"You look like a lunatic." George stretched out his arms towards the sky.

"Bawl —" Fred pulled his hair in a grimace.

"Painstakingly reminding the masses …"

"The mysterious man is back!

Everyone, run! "

"Then he can arrest you for spreading rumors!" George ended his speech with a resolute gesture.

Harry couldn't help but laugh.

But Sirius was the most unhappy, because he couldn't personally send Harry off. He was still a fugitive wanted by the Ministry of Magic. Judging from the tense relationship between the Phoenix Society and the Ministry of Magic, it was better to avoid unnecessary trouble.

Tonks and Lupin could send them off.

Although Sirius really wanted to turn into the big black dog and follow them, and had already done so, this idea was unanimously rejected by everyone.

In order to prevent Forgy from finding out that they had been in London, they had to return to the Burrow in advance and wait to meet up with the people from the Ministry of Magic. Sirius wasn't safe anywhere except at 12 Grimmauld Square, which was protected by the Loyalty Spell.

Harry promised him again that she would be back for Christmas, and at the same time, she wanted Sirius to promise that he wouldn't do anything reckless regardless of the danger.

Before saying goodbye, Harry crouched down and hugged his hairy neck. This was her only surviving relative in the world …

Mrs. Weasley went upstairs to call them for breakfast. She saw that Harry had packed his suitcase early for the first time. She couldn't help but lovingly stroke his hair, which made Harry feel very embarrassed.

"Not bad, Harry. If only Ron was as diligent as you!"

Mrs. Weasley smacked her lips and walked past him, aggressively walking toward Ron, who was still sleeping on the bed.

"Uh — I'm not, I'm not —" Harry stuttered, but Mrs. Weasley didn't listen to him at all.

"Ron Weasley!" Mrs. Weasley's shouts began to echo in the room. "How long are you going to sleep!

Did you forget that school starts today?

You're so sloppy, messy, and you didn't even pack your things … Ouch — Piggy! "

Piggy, who was overexcited after hearing her shouts, flew around and bumped into Mrs. Weasley's back.

Harry looked sympathetically and enviously at Ron, who was still trying to bury his head under the blanket, and thought that it was better for him to go downstairs first.

The first day of school for the fifth grade began in a state of chaos. People who were packing things ran up and down the stairs. Fred and George always appeared in unexpected places. Mrs. Weasley shouted at them. Ginny took the twins' fake wand by mistake and turned into a big peacock. Hermione couldn't find Crook Mountain anywhere and finally found it stuck in a goblin's cave … Harry was very glad that Mrs. Weasley had the foresight to go to Diagon Alley in advance to buy the books and herbs they would need for school. She then packed them up and put them aside.

Now, they had finally passed Platform 9 and 3/4 and were saying goodbye to Mrs. Weasley, who was in tears. Mrs. Weasley was very emotional and hugged everyone. Twice, she grabbed Harry and hugged him. "Write letters … Take care … If you forget anything, I'll send an owl to bring it … Okay, get on the train, everyone, hurry up …"

The gloomy Auros scattered and hid around the train. Some of them pulled their boxes onto the train. These Auros would escort the Hogwarts train to school.

Harry couldn't see them, but he felt that someone was staring at him.

Harry didn't tell Ron and Hermione about the dream he had during the summer vacation.

How could he tell them that he dreamed of Snape?

And it was Snape who was being punished.

He still felt nauseous when he recalled the dream.

Harry found that although he hated Snape, he didn't like the situation in his dream.

He thought that the intense pain in his dream was just an exaggeration of the shock.

He was determined to forget about the strange dream.

Lupin and the Tonks helped them put their luggage on the train and then came down to say goodbye.

Harry saw many students pressing their noses against the window and looking at them curiously — mainly at the Tonks' short violet hair.

"You'll be safe once you get on the train. I have to say, although Forgy is a big idiot, these people are right. We were worried that some Death Eaters would come and cause trouble, but now …" The Tonks secretly held their wands in their sleeves and looked around vigilantly. "Have a good time, huh?"

"Take care."

Lupin shook hands with everyone, and when it was finally Harry's turn, "Listen," he whispered, as the others said their final goodbyes to Tonks, "Harry, I know you don't like Snape, but he's a great hermetic arcane master, and we - including Sirius - want you to learn to protect yourself, so study hard and don't let your, uh, personal feelings get in the way, okay?"

Harry blinked. "I'm happy to, as long as Snape isn't blinded by hatred in class —"

"Harry, I'm serious!

You have to learn to close your brain, because you don't know when the Mystery Man will notice the connection between your thoughts and his and use it to his advantage!

Believe me, he's always been good at this, "Lupin said to Harry in a serious tone, putting away his gentle expression.

"… Okay."

Harry pursed her lips and looked up at Lupin. She swallowed the words she wanted to say and said, "Goodbye."

Harry dragged her suitcase along the aisle. She had to find an empty box first.

Hermione and Ron walked behind her. They were the class leaders, so they had to patrol first.

The rooms were all full. Harry walked to the end of the room and saw a girl sleeping on her stomach. She was wearing the Hogwarts uniform robe.

Harry looked at the badge on the uniform through the glass. Half of it was covered, revealing half an eagle's wing — Ravenclaw — as long as it wasn't Slytherin.

Harry breathed a sigh of relief. She pushed the door open and entered the box.

"Excuse me, can I sit here?"

Harry asked politely in a soft voice. The girl didn't seem to hear him, but Harry had already decided to sit down. The other boxes were full, and there didn't seem to be anyone else's luggage here.

"I know you don't like Snape," Harry thought sarcastically. "Oh, yes, it's obvious. How can you show affection to a guy who obviously hates you?

That's right, I don't like him! "

He raised his arm in a fit of pique, trying to put the huge suitcase on the luggage rack, but he didn't succeed.

"Ouch!" Harry jumped up, holding his leg. The suitcase fell on his foot.

"Damn it …"

"Do you need help?"

A voice drifted over. Harry looked down and couldn't help but open his mouth in surprise. He immediately felt that it was impolite and hurriedly looked away.

"Oh, uh — no, no, thank you."

Harry stuffed the suitcase under the seat and sat down. He pretended to be interested in the passing scenery outside the window, but he couldn't help but secretly glance at the girl opposite him.

She had waist-length blonde hair, which seemed to be unkempt because she didn't take good care of it.

Her wand was behind her ear, and there was a necklace made of corks from butter beer around her neck. There were also two carrot-like gadgets on her ears, which swayed with the vibration of the train.

In short, this girl clearly had a kind of crazy energy about her.

Perhaps she noticed his gaze. The girl said, "My name is Luna, Luna Lovegood." Her voice was still drifting.

"Oh, um, I — I'm Harry —"

"I know you're Harry Potter." She interrupted him, still with the dreamy look on her face.

"Uh …" Harry closed his mouth, somewhat at a loss.

He remembered that Ginny once said that there was a "crazy girl" Luna in Ravenclaw, but she didn't say how to get along with this girl!

The compartment fell into a dead silence. Harry didn't know what to say to Luna, and Luna kept staring at Harry while turning a page of the upside-down book in her hand.

Just when Harry's neck was sore from pretending to stare at the scenery outside the window, Luna spoke again. "Harry Potter," she called softly. Harry almost twisted his neck when he turned around and almost didn't hear what she said. "Professor Snape seems to be very concerned about you — she likes to look at you behind your back."

"I — I'm sorry." Harry was in so much pain that tears almost came out of his eyes. He rubbed his neck and stared at her in disbelief. "Snape?"

This girl was really good at telling lame jokes.

However, if even Ravenclaw's people noticed it, then … could it be that it wasn't an illusion?

Harry's heart flashed with a trace of joy, so fast that he couldn't catch it.

Luna raised her eyebrows and stared straight at him.

Harry didn't know why, but his face was a little hot. "Uh … I think … it's probably because he's always ready to find fault with me. My … relationship with him … is very bad … you know."

He didn't know what he was trying to explain. It was a fact that Snape hated him, but his chest was expanding like a happy hydrogen balloon.

But … that's right, Snape hated him.

Harry suddenly felt that the balloon in his heart had been punctured.

He was really crazy.

He was affected by the "crazy girl"'s words and even discussed Snape seriously with her.
