First Inquisitor
Chapter 12
Shanmaqie seemed to have become the target of This Pill's bullying. Shiro Tatō often asked Shanmaqie for help as a "child". The prank that Tsuru Maru had prepared to scare Caudon was used on Shanmaqie instead. For a time, This Pill was in chaos.
Another morning, Tsurumaru Kazuma had already left the scene. Shanmaqie was so scared that he hid in his room and refused to go out. He even threw away his cloak.
Caudon pushed the door open and went in. He picked up the white cloth on the floor and handed it to Shanmaqie. He asked softly, "Shanmaqie, are you okay?"
"Take it away! Take that away!"
Shanmaqie's face was pale. He did not dare to touch his cloak. "It's a ghost in a cloak. Take it away!"
Caudon looked at the cloak and then at Yamamochi Kokuhiro. He suddenly felt helpless. "No, it's Tsuru Maru who wore the cloak and pretended to be a ghost last night."
Shanmaqie was obviously still in shock. He did not listen to Caudon at all.
This Pill was too scary. There were ghosts everywhere. He had to escape. No, he had to escape with God's Inquisitor!
Yamamochi Kokuhiro watched as Caudon put down the cloak. He immediately picked up Caudon and rushed out of the room. He only stopped when he was a distance away from This Pill, panting. His golden hair was completely exposed, shining brightly under the sun.
"We escaped." Yamamochi Kokuhiro sighed in relief. Finally …
Caudon looked at him helplessly. Was his reaction too big?
Did he think that This Pill was a scourge?
"You haven't eaten, right?
Do you want to go back … "
"No, God's Inquisitor. There are ghosts in there!"
Shanmaqie's green eyes stared nervously at Caudon. His attitude was very firm. "If we go back, even God's Inquisitor will be eaten!"
Caudon scratched his head. He just remembered that he had promised Shiro Ichijiang that Tsurumaru Kuninaga would visit. He went with the flow and said, "Then we won't go back now. We'll wait for Tsurumaru Kazuma to come back. Do you want to come with me to visit a friend?"
"Can I?"
Mountain Priestess subconsciously wanted to pull off her white cloth, but she had already thrown it away as a ghost, so she didn't touch it. Her tone was still a little hesitant. "You'll definitely be laughed at if you bring a fake like me as a guest, right?"
"They won't."
After spending a few days together, Caudon finally understood Shanmaqie's character. He held Shanmaqie's hands, raised his head, and showed a bright smile. "You're Kokuhiro's best work. Don't belittle yourself!"
Yamamochi Kokuhiro's eyes suddenly brightened. He was like a puppy that had heard praise, but his mouth still said awkwardly, "Even if I'm praised like this …"
"Hurry up, he's waiting!" Caudon finished and took the initiative to walk in front to lead the way.
Shiro Ichijiang naturally didn't wait for Caudon. He didn't even know that Caudon would come to visit him. He was now very, very, very angry.
"Get out of my This Pill!"
Shiro Ichijiang was so angry that he jumped off the bed. The pain in his left leg made him fall to the ground. His fierce eyes were still fixed on the man who had made him like this.
"Why did you fall?
Shiro Ichijiang, if you're injured, you need to rest well. Only then can you recover quickly. "
Sakamoto stretched out his hand to push up his glasses, then walked forward to help Shiro Ichijiang up and put him back on the bed. "The doctor said that your left calf is fractured. Let me take care of you for a while."
"No need!"
Shiro Ichijiang was about to go crazy. He didn't need this guy to pretend to be kind in front of him. If it weren't for him, would he be in this state?
"'No' means' want '."
Beside him, Tsurumaru excitedly moved closer and looked at his God's Inquisitor with a smile. "Hey, God's Inquisitor, don't move around. You're giving us a headache by not recuperating properly!"
"If it's necessary, I can help tie you up."
Sakamoto said unhurriedly, as if he didn't realize that there was anything wrong with him. He was still deep in thought. "I remember that there's a kind of clothes called restraint clothes."
"My leg is broken. What else do you want?" Shiro Ichijiang was about to go crazy. Hurry up and get this bastard away!
"We … we have guests."
Five Tigers brought Caudon and the others in. His face was red as he said to his inquisitor, "They're here to visit the Inquisitor."
"Who is it?" Shiro Ichijiang's tone was unfriendly. He didn't have any friends.
Caudon didn't reply. He brought Yamamochi Kokuhiro to Shiro Ichijiang. Still ignoring Shiro Ichijiang, he first looked at Sakamoto. "What a coincidence. We meet again."
"Fate is a very strange thing." Sakamoto's lips curled slightly. "I hope you enjoyed the investigation last time."
Enjoyed?
Caudon couldn't feel it at all. The investigation last time was over before it even started. He didn't even recognize the top ten inquisitors. However, this didn't stop him from having a deep impression of Sakamoto. To be able to make Shiro Ichijiang so miserable, he wasn't a simple person.
"Caudon, hurry up and kick Sakamoto out!" Shiro Ichijiang ordered Caudon in a superior tone.
Caudon ignored him. Shanmaqie placed the fruit basket in his hand on the bedside table, then stepped back and ignored him as well.
"Hey, can't you hear me?"
Five Tigers shivered when he saw his inquisitor's ferocious expression. However, he still tried to persuade him in a low voice. "I think … I think you should make a request, not an order."
"Request?
Are they worthy? "Shiro Ichijiang raised his chin." Caudon, do you listen to me or him? "
"I'll listen to myself."
Caudon rolled his eyes. The world of children was really simple. They didn't even bother to put on a pretense. Such a rash personality deserved bad luck.
"It seems that I've completely offended the fifth inquisitor." Although Sakamoto said this, he didn't seem worried.
"A high ranking doesn't necessarily mean that you're powerful. You know this very well, don't you?"
Caudon sized up Sakamoto. This person didn't give him the impression that he was the type to seek revenge for the smallest grievance. Did he really want to help Shiro Ichijiang by staying here like this?
Unfortunately, Shiro Ichijiang wouldn't appreciate it.
"It's time for me to work."
Sakamoto turned on the terminal to look at the time. He smiled apologetically at Caudon. "I'm afraid I can't entertain you. If I'm late, my salary will be deducted."
"Wait!" Caudon immediately grabbed Sakamoto's hand. He was surprised. "You're working?
Working in Current Affairs? "
"Yes, organizing documents and such," Sakamoto said calmly. "Current Affairs seems to be in need of manpower." They were so short of manpower that they had to find labor from the group of inquisitors.
That's great!
Caudon's eyes lit up. Wasn't this exactly what he wanted?
A job, a job that could help him pay off Yan Mu's small debt and make him rich with This Pill!
"Brother Sakamoto, can you take me there?"
Caudon looked at Sakamoto. He couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed. "It's like this. I don't have any money for This Pill now. I even borrowed money from someone else … so …"
"Okay."
Sakamoto looked at Shiro Ichijiang, who was angrily looking at them from the hospital bed. He asked, "Can we just ignore him?"
"It's okay. The Fu Mourning God of This Pill hasn't appeared yet." Although Tsuru Maru was a little troublesome, Caudon remembered that Tsuru Maru was quite reliable when he was sick.
"Hey, you two!
I'm a patient! "Shiro Ichijiang couldn't believe it. It was fine if Sakamoto left, but Caudon was also leaving?
Wasn't he here to visit him?
"I know you're a patient, so rest well." Caudon looked at Tsurumaru Kuninaga and said, "I'll leave it to His Highness Tsuru Maru."
"What are you talking about?
Tsuru Maru loves to cause trouble … Wuwuwu … "
Tsurumaru Kuninaga smiled and covered Shiro Ichijiang's mouth. Then, he made an "OK" gesture to Caudon. "Since you trust me so much, I'll also bring you a surprise!"
Caudon was expressionless. He hoped it wasn't a shock.
Oh, poor Shiro Ichijiang.
For Caudon, finding a job to pay off debts was more important than visiting friends. He had just spent money on a fruit basket. In two days, he would be starving again.
He followed Sakamoto to the Political Affairs Building. Sakamoto went in to look for the person in charge. Caudon quietly stood there and waited.
"Isn't it too easy to give it away like this?" A middle-aged man walked as he spoke to a milky-white haired young man beside him.
The young man had a blade at his waist. There was a faint smile on his lips. His expression was slender and gentle. His white coat fluttered as he walked.
If Caudon recognized the blade in the young man's hand, he should be able to recognize him easily. He was Yiche, one of the Genji Shigeho.
"It's okay. Just do as I say."
Narrowing his eyes, Yiche's voice was soft and lazy. There was a hint of frivolity in his voice, but it was impossible to ignore.
"We're understaffed right now. If we want to send it over, we need to have strong spiritual power. This job is too dangerous. No one would be willing to take This Pill from the Divine Inquisitors."
The middle-aged man didn't seem to agree and rejected him in a roundabout way. Suddenly, he saw Caudon. He frowned and asked, "Caudon, why are you here?"
"Elder," Caudon lowered his head and said calmly, "I'm here to find a job."
"Understaffed?" Yiche stopped in his tracks. He crossed his arms and smiled at Elder Shi Zheng.
Elder Shi Zheng's expression changed. He immediately corrected himself, "It's not just because we're understaffed. The job I'm talking about is very dangerous. Every Divine Inquisitor has a different personality. If we send them over, we might encounter danger. So …"
"Caudon, right?"
Chi Qieqie strolled in front of Ke Dong, and then slowly squatted down, changing from a superior posture to a more amiable one. He raised his head to look at the handsome youth, and frivolously asked with a teasing smile, "Can you do me a small favor?"
"What is it?"
"I just need you to take me to the entrance of the This Pill." Yiche turned to Elder Shi Zheng and said, "I'll deliver it myself."
Elder Shi Zheng opened his mouth. Just as he was about to say something, he heard Yiche's lazy question.
"What?
Can't I do that? "
