The next day, the sun shone on the balcony and the light breeze blew against the light colored curtains. The room was peaceful and comfortable.

When Ningzhi woke up, she saw that Lu Jue had already washed up and was changing his clothes.

He was holding a red floral shirt in his hands and was about to change into it.

Ningzhi hurriedly got up and walked over. She smiled and coaxed him. "You don't have to wear something so handsome to the office today."

Lu Jue looked at her blankly with his dark eyes.

Ningzhi picked out a red shirt from Lu Jue's wardrobe. The silk fabric was smooth and had a good texture.

Ning Zhi lied without blinking. "Wear this. You look so handsome in a flowery shirt. I'm worried that the people in the company will like you when they see you. What if they snatch you away? I'll be very sad."

Ningzhi felt that Lu Jue was getting easier to coax. She couldn't help but pinch his face. "Work hard today. Text me if you need anything."

She had to go to school today and couldn't accompany Lu Jue to the office.

Lu Jue agreed. "Earn money and support Zhizhi."

He could support Zhizhi too.

Lu Jue didn't know that the dividends in his account every year were enough for Ningzhi to squander for the rest of her life.

After breakfast, Lu Jue's former assistant, Wei Xing, had already arrived at the Lu residence.

"He's not a child. I don't need to take care of him," Lu Jue pursed his lips and said slowly.

He wasn't a child. He didn't need anyone to take care of him.

Ningzhi didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "Okay, I'll see you tonight." She helped Lu Jue straighten his collar.

Lu Jue's dark eyes looked at Ningzhi for a few seconds. He looked away, looked at her for a few seconds, and repeated it a few times.

If he couldn't see Zhizhi for a day, he had to look at her a few more times.

Before Lu Jue's illness worsened, he had worked in the company's artificial intelligence development laboratory for a period of time.

The people in the team were no strangers to him. When they knew that he was coming back to work, many of them were happy. Lu Jue was a man of few words and was very capable. With him around, the development of the entire team seemed to have turned on a cheat code.
