Take the door to save the world
Chapter 14
Mrs. Tomoda had recently noticed that her daughter, Sachiko Tomoda, ate very little.
She returned home at seven o 'clock in the evening, ate a few mouthfuls of food, and went back to her bedroom. She didn't come out for the whole night.
She called her from outside the door. Sachiko answered quickly, but as soon as she walked away, she could faintly hear someone talking inside.
She suspected that her daughter might be in love.
Recently, Yumi had called her a few times. She said that Sachiko had bought a lot of things in the mall, some of which she didn't even need. Yumi also sent her a detailed list.
The first time, she bought seven sets of men's underwear of different sizes, two sets of women's underwear, one hundred pairs of socks, ten boxes of screws, ten screwdrivers, two binoculars, more than ten medical books that were recently published, a few sets of women's casual wear, a few baskets of fresh fruits, a few boxes of medicine, and so on. The second time, she bought more than ten packs of sanitary pads, the latest year's political news, more than ten books, and a long list of things. Mrs. Tomoda couldn't even name them. There was a line at the back of the list that said, "These are small parts that can be used to make iron equipment." The third time, she bought a bunch of things, all of which were medical items. But coincidentally, at the back of the list, there were a few baskets of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Sachiko wasn't a fruit-loving person.
Mrs. Tomoda furrowed her eyebrows and stared at the list for a long time. She felt that Sachiko wouldn't buy these things, and most of them weren't useful to her. She probably wouldn't use them in her lifetime.
Mrs. Tomoda sat on the sofa and pondered for a long time. In the end, she picked up her phone and made a call.
"Hello, honey," Mrs. Tomoda said into the phone, "Can you help me check on Sachiko …"
The other end of the phone seemed to have said something. Mrs. Tomoda paused for a moment and said, "No … I just want to see what our daughter has been doing recently … What's wrong?
I can't even check on her?
Why can't I know about my own daughter?
Sachiko has been really strange recently. Honey, haven't you noticed?
… "
A tall figure stood behind Mrs. Tomoda for a long time, but Mrs. Tomoda did not notice it at all. The afternoon sun shone down, and Mrs. Tomoda's shadow was reflected on the ground in front of her. She frowned, and her tone was a little unfriendly. "You don't care about anything all day, and only keep an eye on your company. If something happens to your daughter again …"
The tall man looked at Mrs. Tomoda silently and murmured, "Sachiko Tomoda … What are you doing … This is going to be troublesome …" He touched his hat and his eyes were hidden in the shadows. "Sigh, there's no other way. I'll just help her this once …"
The man's large hand came down and gently waved in front of Mrs. Tomoda's eyes. The next moment, Mrs. Tomoda, who was on the phone, fell limply onto the sofa. The quiet air was filled with a strange atmosphere.
The man walked around from behind and stood in front of Mrs. Tomoda. His slender fingers gently tapped the phone screen and hung up the phone. He took off his hat and placed it in front of his chest. He bowed slightly and said in a low but sincere voice, "I'm sorry, Mrs. Tomoda."
A faint blue light lit up in the living room, but it quickly disappeared.
Sachiko, who was listening attentively in school, did not know anything about this.
A week later, the monthly exam was coming. The results were in the hands of every parent.
Yukiko stood in the living room with her hands hanging down. Sitting on the sofa was an angry Mrs. Tomoda and the head of the Tomoda family, Tomoda Miyahira, who was sipping coffee and looking at the report card slowly.
"What's going on!" Mrs. Tomoda slammed the table. "Sachiko!
Look at yourself. How bad did you do in the exam!
Do you still want to study properly?!
If you don't want to, just say it as soon as possible and enter your father's company. Don't waste the school's resources! "
Sachiko trembled and did not dare to raise her head.
"Don't scare the child, Keiko." Tomoda's father pushed his glasses and said gently, "You called me in such a hurry. I thought something big had happened. Didn't you do well in the exam? Don't make a fuss."
Sachiko looked at Tomoda's father with grievance.
"She dropped to the twentieth place in the whole grade!
That's okay?? "Mrs. Tomoda glared at him." There are only a few people in their school!
If she can't get into the top ten, it's useless to leave the school!
Do you really want Sachiko to go to your lousy company? "
Tomoda's father coughed awkwardly. "It's not that lousy …"
"I don't want to talk about your lousy company. What's the use of making money?" Mrs. Tomoda said angrily. "If you lose your life, are you going to take that pile of money to hell?"
Mrs. Tomoda suddenly remembered something. She took out a pile of papers from her bag and spread them out on the table. She pointed at the papers and glared at Sachiko. "Look at it yourself. What's going on?
You've learned how to make extra money at such a young age?
I was wondering why you've been nagging in the house recently. At first, I thought you found a partner. Then I found out. Huh?
You took things from your own store and sold them to others?
Who taught you?
Did your father teach you? "
Sachiko stared at the papers in a daze. She didn't dare to say anything as Mrs. Tomoda glared at her.
What should she say?
Where did she go?
She sold them to her classmate?
Which classmate?
None of her classmates had any use for these things.
If Sachiko knew that her mother could find out all the things she bought, she definitely wouldn't have bought them from her own store. She would have bought them from another store. Unfortunately, it was too late.
Tomoda's father took the papers and studied them carefully. He said with satisfaction, "Not bad. You got an extra thirty percent profit."
Sachiko: "???!!!"
Huh?
It was an extra amount?
With Nami's personality, it didn't make sense … It was already good enough that she got an extra ten percent …
Sachiko was once again confused.
Mrs. Tomoda slapped Tomoda's father a few times in exasperation. Then, she slapped the table and pulled Sachiko back from her thoughts. "Your grades have dropped so much. You're not focused on your studies at all. It looks like you can't make it. I'll find you a tutor in two days to tutor you at home after school. I don't believe that you can't make up for your grades!"
Mrs. Tomoda waved her hand impatiently at Sachiko as if she was shooing away a fly. "Alright, go upstairs and study.
If you still don't do well next time, we'll settle the score. "
Sachiko nodded while trembling.
Mrs. Tomoda concluded the meeting for the day. As Sachiko went upstairs, she thought that her mother seemed to have forgotten something very important. What was it … She couldn't remember. Forget it, she should go back and study … I've been slacking off lately …
The next day, Sachiko looked a little dispirited when she came to class. Her friends kept asking her about her. Even Qi Mu, who was always quiet, looked at her a few times.
"Are you okay?
Tomoda. "
Qi Mu stood behind Sachiko and asked. Sachiko turned around and saw that Qi Mu's flat face revealed a hint of concern. For some reason, Sachiko felt that the wolf child had finally grown up and learned how to care for others.
Qi Mu: "…"
"Thank you, Qi Mu." Sachiko smiled. "It's nothing serious. I've just been a little tired recently. I'll be fine after some rest."
I shouldn't go to Luffy's place for the time being. Although I still have some food left, it's not important. It's just that I haven't eaten Sanji's food for a few days, so I'm craving for it … Luffy said that he has something very fun, and he wants to show it to me the next time he comes … Ah … I want to touch Joba's soft fur again, even though it immediately left in fear … Should I buy it some new toys next time?
No, no!
What am I thinking!
How can I be so attached to these pirates!
Study!
Study!
I need to study hard!
Sachiko shook her head violently and sighed as she walked out of the classroom.
Qi Mu, who was still standing there, was deep in thought as he watched her leave.
A few days later, Mrs. Tomoda really found a home tutor for Sachiko.
A tall and handsome man stood at the bottom of the stairs. He was wearing a well-ironed suit, but he was wearing a nondescript fisherman's hat. When he saw Sachiko open the door, he took off his hat and bowed slightly. His voice was lazy and carried an innate aristocratic aura. "Hello, Ms. Sachiko Tomoda. I'm your home tutor, Kisuke Urahara. You can just call me Urahara."
Sachiko: "Oh … Oh, hello, Mr. Urahara.
Please come in. "
