You're Under Arrest
Chapter 5
"Hello, I'm Li Hao's lawyer. I'm here to help him out on bail." A man in a suit handed out his name card.
The policeman on duty looked up lazily and knew what was going to happen when he saw the name card. The man who handed over the name card was called Yuan Sen.
He was one of the top lawyers in the country. Other than being famous for his high fees, he was also famous in the industry for his ability. Most of the people who could invite him personally were either lucky or rich. He just said that he was here to help Li Hao out on bail. Obviously, the person who was either lucky or rich was Li Hao.
"Please wait a moment." The policeman on duty frowned as he looked at the name card. He picked up the landline on the table and dialed Chi Tae-ri's internal line.
He was brought back by Officer Chi, so he couldn't just let him go. But since the lawyer was here, based on past experience, he could only let him go according to the law. And this lawyer would definitely come up with a hundred reasons to bail him out.
He shook his head helplessly and could only ask the lawyer to wait for a moment for the officer in charge to come out. That's why the law has always been a plaything for the rich, making people helpless.
Not long after, Chi Tae-ri walked over and glanced at the policeman on duty. The lawyer handed over his name card.
She looked coldly at the lawyer opposite her. "We found drugs on Li Hao, and this isn't the first time he's been detained for drugs. This time, he destroyed many public facilities and even took hostages. We have enough reason to believe that Mr. Li Hao's behavior is dangerous to the public, so Mr. Li Hao can't be bailed out for the time being."
The lawyer smiled politely at her as if he had already expected her words. He took out a psychiatric evaluation report from his briefcase. "This is the psychiatric report written by Mr. Li Hao's personal doctor. Mr. Li Hao has a history of schizophrenia.
We believe that Mr. Li Hao's abnormal behavior today was not caused by drugs, but by the strong pursuit of the police. Coupled with the pressure from the media and the public, it caused Mr. Li Hao to lose his mind.
The police had detained Mr. Li Hao for several hours. Li Hao's attending doctor also believed that Li Hao was in urgent need of psychiatric treatment.
According to the relevant regulations, if the suspect suffers from a serious illness, he or she should be released on bail pending trial. I believe that Officer Chi should know the law better than I do. "
"We've conducted a blood test on Li Hao. The results are positive, which means that he has been taking drugs recently …"
"But we can't prove that Li Hao took hostages and destroyed public facilities because of drug use."
"Got it, let him go." Chi Tai Li coldly threw down the report, threw down a sentence, and left with big strides.
It was the usual trick of the rich. A so-called mental report, a willingness to pay compensation and a fine, plus a good attitude in admitting his mistake, would eventually lead to the lightest administrative punishment.
Then, after a few months of not knowing her place, she would receive another report. Just thinking about it was tiring.
The police on duty responded and immediately handled the bail procedures for the lawyer. Not long after, Li Hao was released.
Chi Tae-ri stood behind the door of the detention center and watched Li Hao walk out indifferently. He seemed to have been scolded by his family, but he still maintained a righteous and unrepentant attitude. Just thinking about it made her even angrier.
Their eyes coincidentally met. Li Hao gave her a mocking smile.
His cynical face was full of provocation. He slowly walked toward her, raised his eyebrows, and said, "Brave female police officer, be gentler next time. My wrist still hurts."
Chi Tae-ri was so angry that she gritted her teeth. She really wanted to go up and punch him, but her eyes fell on the lawyer beside him. She could only resist the impulse and stare at him with a pair of cold black eyes like staring at a prey. "Don't let me catch you again."
However, Li Hao was not intimidated by her gaze. He continued to provoke her calmly. He lowered his face to her ear and said in a voice that only the two of them could hear, "What's the use of catching me? You'll still have to let me go in the end."
The sneer on his face only increased. His eyes fell on her slightly clenched fists. He patted her shoulder affectionately. "Officer Chi, don't be nervous. You can't beat me anyway. I have a lawyer behind me."
"Now you can't bear to leave?
Do you think the police station is a playground? "
Li Junhe, who had just returned to the police station, interrupted him. His burly body blocked between Li Hao and Chi Tae-ri. He was obviously taller than Li Hao by half a head.
His cold gaze was full of threat and also had the effect of scaring him.
Li Hao angrily retracted his smile.
He raised his hand and saluted. Before he left, he didn't forget to say "goodbye" to Chi Tae-ri.
Chi Tae-ri gritted her teeth as she watched him leave. She couldn't help but kick the trash can beside her to vent her anger. With a loud bang, the innocent trash can fell to the ground.
Suddenly, a cup of iced coffee was placed beside her. Li Junhe smiled at her, revealing a set of big white teeth. "It's easy for a woman to age when she's angry. Smile for once."
"Save these coaxing words for your little girlfriend outside."
Chi Tae-ri angrily took the coffee and drank it in big mouthfuls. She turned around and walked back to her desk to pack her things. "I'm going back. I still have to prepare for that damn talk show."
"Aren't you going to write the report?
And isn't the show next week? "
"You write it. You're so free anyway."
“ya!
You can't be like this. He angered you. It's none of my business. "
In the end, there was only a back view and a cool wave as an answer.
Li Junhe looked at her back view and said unwillingly, "If I had known, I wouldn't have bought you coffee."
