The truth

"Are you ready?"

Sherlock did not look at her. Instead, he was talking to Libella behind him. His fingers flew nimbly over the keyboard as he sent a text message to John Watson.

[Whitechapel, bring Suni and come quickly.

— — sh]

Libella was stunned. Seeing that he was about to leave, she instinctively tugged at his sleeve and pulled him back. She asked in surprise, "Sir, I suddenly remembered that you can't leave this door!"

"I can leave now."

Sherlock turned around and glanced at her. Libella immediately let go of her hand. Sherlock walked forward. "Let's go to Whitechapel."

"But —" Didn't the Ripper send a challenge letter?

Libella wanted to say something, but Sherlock interrupted her.

"I'll send you back. Do you want to go?"

There he is!

OOC's domineering CEO Sherlock!

Libella thought of this sentence and grinned. She happily followed Sherlock. When they passed by downstairs, Mrs. Hudson looked at them with gratification.

Sherlock naturally did not have time to care about this. John's reply had already arrived on his phone.

[How do you know about Suni?

Wait, why are you going to Whitechapel?

— — jw]

Libella followed Sherlock. He stood at the door and waved his hand. Sure enough, a taxi came to him. It was exactly the same as in the drama. It was as if his family drove taxis.

Sherlock did not open the door for the lady like a gentleman. He got into the car. Libella followed him nimbly. Noticing that he was typing a message, Libella told the driver the address of Whitechapel. Then, the driver quickly went on the road.

Sherlock quickly glanced at Libella.

Not bad. She reacted quickly.

She did not forget to send a message to John Watson.

[Come quickly.

— — sh]

[No, Sherlock, Suni is Nina's child. I have to tell her — JW]

Libella sat obediently at the side and watched the scenery pass by quickly. She was quiet and didn't disturb the great detective.

[Then go and tell them. No matter what, bring Suni here — sh]

Watson looked at the text message on his phone and clicked his tongue. However, out of his unconditional trust in Sherlock, he still took advantage of the break in the clinic to call Nina Hathaway.

"Yes, it's me, my dear …" he said gently. "I'm going to take Suni to Whitechapel. I might be late …"

A few patients could not help but look at the kind doctor. Was he going to get off work?

A few people were still whispering. Since Dr. Watson was going to get off work, some of the guests could come again next time.

"Ah, it's Sherlock. He just sent me a message … Yes, of course I trust him. Don't worry, Nina. Suni will be fine …" Watson looked back at the doctor on duty and greeted his colleagues. Then he took off his white coat and carried his briefcase, intending to go home. "Really? You're going too?

Oh, okay. I'll pick you up. I'll pick up Suni later … Okay, see you later. "

After the call ended, Watson stuffed the phone back into his pocket. For some reason, Nina seemed to have a lot of resistance to Whitechapel. Did she not want Suni to go to Whitechapel?

He started the car and started driving to Nina Hathaway's school. Sherlock should have just left. He should be arriving at Whitechapel first.

Watson thought about the case that Sherlock had been working on recently. Since they were going to Whitechapel, the Ripper case should have been solved. His roommate's actions were as fast as usual. Could it be that this case was not difficult?

At first, he was a little regretful that he could not record a new case this time, but now it seemed that he was wrong.

Sherlock had indeed come to a conclusion.

Libella watched him put the phone back in his pocket before she could speak.

'Are you going to catch the Ripper now, sir? 'she asked, trying not to sound so excited.

Sherlock hit the nail on the head. "What do you want to ask?"

"No, nothing …" She just wanted to know the reasoning process.

Libella silently swallowed the words back.

She changed the topic. "Well, do you want to call the police?"

After all, Sherlock was a brainiac. It was better to leave the matter of catching the Ripper to the police. What?

Could they catch the Ripper?

Of course. After all, this was Sherlock.

But thinking of the case two years ago that he mentioned in the morning … Libella felt her confidence weaken a little.

Hearing the police report, Sherlock showed a look of understanding and then said, "Tomorrow is the day of the Ripper announcement. Scotland Yard should have already set up there."

But whether or not Scotland Yard could find East London was another matter.

Sherlock couldn't help but add, "It's not like they can't even find East London."

… No, with the intelligence of those goldfish, it was a little difficult.

Sherlock frowned. Now, the dilemma of whether to call the police had become the top priority. Libella's eyebrows curved. She actually felt that Sherlock was a little cute.

But then again, the cute Sherlock was also OOC ~

A few hours of driving seemed to be just a moment. After a while, the familiar East London appeared in front of her again.

It was time to find out the truth.

Libella thought.

The Truth

September 19th, 7: 15 pm.

Sherlock's sudden visit surprised Davis, but he still entertained Sherlock very thoughtfully. When Libella returned home, her heart was half cold.

Davis had changed into a dark red coat. It was not like Davis' usual style. Sherlock saw the change in Libella's expression. He glanced at Davis and understood.

"You think it's Davis?" Sherlock asked.

Libella lowered her head.

"Davis is indeed very familiar with East London. He has been here for many years. If it was a crime, it would be very convenient."

Sherlock continued, while Davis was still in the kitchen preparing to entertain the detective.

"It can't be Davis." Libella said firmly.

"Why?" Sherlock asked.

"Why …" Libella smiled bitterly and shook her head. "I don't know, but it can't be Davis. Davis is not the kind of person who would do such a thing."

She did not believe that a person who was willing to come to this place to help children would kill, let alone in such a cruel way. Davis must be a patient and caring person. He would not do such a cruel thing.

But in other words, she also did not have any evidence.

Davis finally came out of the kitchen with a plate in his hand. On the plate was some simple food. Libella thought of Mrs. Hudson. She had given a very sumptuous meal, but she completely believed that Davis and Mrs. Hudson were just as friendly.

"Mr. Sherlock Holmes, why are you here?" Davis was very polite and asked him at this time.

Sherlock sat on the sofa in the living room of Whitechapel Orphanage. His expression was calm as he said calmly, "I'm here to save people."

"Save people?" Davis frowned slightly. "What do you mean?"

"There's a recent case." Sherlock took out the letter and shook it. "It's related to this letter."

When Davis saw the envelope, he understood. "Did I write this?"

"Yes."

Libella changed the topic. "Davis, where are the other children?"

Davis's gaze fell on Libella. He said gently, "They're studying in their room. Monday night is their study time."

Sherlock looked at her lightly. "You don't seem to know anything about this."

Libella was shocked. She then calmly replied, "I'm just changing the topic so that you don't make Davis feel uncomfortable."

She was referring to Sherlock's attempt to get information about Davis. During the conversation with Sherlock during the day, Libella realized that this detective could often get the information he wanted when others were not paying attention. His expression would not change during the conversation, as if he was telling the truth.

If one was not careful, it was easy to fall into his trap.

Libella did not want to describe Sherlock as such a "villain" character. However, based on her current feelings, she did not believe that Davis was the Ripper. Davis was very real to her. His sincerity was enough to make her rely on him.

But Sherlock …

Libella pursed her lips.

No, she did not want to force herself to make such a choice.

"Are there any warehouses nearby?" Sherlock did not try to pry any more information out of her. Instead, he changed the topic. "I mean, is there any empty and damp open space near the orphanage? Something like a warehouse or a garage? It's deserted. Under normal circumstances, no one would go there often."

Davis and Libella were both stunned.

Davis said, "… There is a place, but it's very dangerous. You have to go through an alley first."

Libella's mind immediately recalled the dream she had last night.

An empty warehouse … The people who were killed by the Ripper …

"What alley?" Sherlock asked him.

"That alley is …" Davis hesitated, as if he wanted to avoid Libella. However, his hesitant expression immediately let Libella guess where it was.

Sherlock obviously guessed it too. He turned to her and said, "You —"

"I want to go with you!" Libella said firmly.

Sherlock frowned. "No, you —"
