Dragon Rider Warplane

Chapter 773

Chapter 773: Taking Love by Force

No one expected that such a thin laptop would have such immense energy when it was thrown out. The plastic-steel window couldn’t withstand the impact and shattered miserably.

Then, a series of dull gunshots rang out.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Bullets chased after the laptop that had just flown out of the living room, violently crashing into it.

The laptop transformed into a butterfly in midair, dancing lightly and changing directions. After taking the hits from the 9mm bullets, it flew over twenty meters out the window and crashed heavily onto the concrete ground, tumbling several times before landing upright like a defiant warrior.

Everyone was terrified.

“My laptop!”

The blonde girl let out a heart-wrenching scream of despair at this tragedy, pushing her chair aside and recklessly lunging for the window to retrieve the impressive laptop.

Before she could reach the window, she suddenly felt her feet give way, and a hand gripped her collar, yanking her back.

This prevented a potential disaster; even though it was only the second floor, jumping out wouldn’t guarantee safety.

“‘Dragon Knight,’ what are you doing?”

Director Jin nearly had a heart attack from the gunfire, clutching his chest nervously. He grimaced and looked at Lin Mo, who held a gun in one hand and dragged Little Chicken like a child.

An explanation was necessary!

The female national security agent looked shaken, still recovering from the fright of Maisha suddenly rushing towards the window. Thankfully, Lin Mo had pulled her back.

“Let me go, let me go! I need to find my laptop, you bastard! I hate you!”

Furious and exasperated, Maisha Wright wished she could bite Lin Mo, this bastard who had shot her advanced laptop. She had never seen such contemptible waste; God should send this bad person to hell.

Her newly acquired artifact had been brutally destroyed right before her eyes, leaving her extremely enraged—this was simply unforgivable!

Maisha’s previously slight good impression of Lin Mo vanished completely, plunging to a negative value.

Lin Mo’s actions of shooting the laptop felt like he had struck a nerve with Maisha, whose hatred surged to an all-time high!

She attempted to turn and hit Lin Mo, but he held her too firmly, like a kitten by the scruff of its neck; she couldn’t reach him at all.

“It’s fine, we’ll retrieve the laptop later, and everyone will know the truth,”

Lin Mo casually shoved Maisha back into her seat, pressing a finger down to keep her from moving no matter how she struggled.

The combat power of both sides was simply not comparable.

Hearing Lin Mo say they would retrieve the impressive laptop, Director Jin and Major Huang exchanged glances. Was this really necessary?

After crashing through the window, they knew there had to be significant power involved. Then followed the bullets, and the laptop took a heavy fall onto the concrete floor. No computer could withstand such treatment; it may as well have been thrown in the trash.

Oh, how unfortunate; seeing the little girl’s expression, it must have been expensive.

Even if they didn’t want it back, it might be better to give it to them as spectators, maybe they could use it to play cards or something—it could still serve some purpose.

“What’s going on inside?”

A knocking sound came from the dormitory door, accompanied by a tense inquiry from outside.

“It’s nothing, just conducting an experiment!”

Major Huang opened the door, facing an officer and several national security agents who looked wary, hiding by the wall. They lived next door, and upon hearing the gunfire, they thought an emergency had occurred and rushed to the door, ready to intervene.

“It’s fine, Little Liu, Xiao Li, you stay outside and let everyone know it’s safe.”

Director Jin added this to help ease the tense atmosphere back to normal.

“Good to hear. Be careful, and don’t play with guns inside. If someone didn’t know better, they’d think something serious had happened.”

The officer who knocked peeked into the room. Besides the large hole in the window that looked like it had been hit by a rocket bomb, the air had a faint smell of gunpowder. Seeing that the others didn’t appear tense or out of sorts, he signaled for safety and retreated outside.

Soldiers are extremely sensitive to gunfire, especially sounds from outside the shooting range, which always brings an unexplainable level of alertness. Guns are deadly weapons; even a seven or eight-year-old child could easily take down a strong man. Even in the military, the rules are very strict.

The earlier rain of gunfire nearly frightened them, especially the two national security agents assigned to monitor the room; they thought the little girl’s original organization had come to kidnap someone, and they had to check every corner of the room before they could relax.

Major Huang decided to leave the main door to the living room wide open.

The gunfire from the officers’ dormitory stirred up quite a commotion in the camp. After understanding the situation, the camp commander felt frustrated, knowing he would have to write a report for the record. This was just looking for trouble! If his soldiers dared to cause such a fuss, they would face serious consequences.

The guard unit handling the emergency situation relaxed their alert after half an hour and returned the laptop that had fallen to the first floor outside the window.

“What is this?”

If Director Jin and Major Huang hadn’t seen the screen still running its program and recognized the soldiers who brought it back as camp personnel, they might have thought it was swapped with a fake.

Is this some kind of magic?

They could only chalk it up to magic.

Noting the inquiries in their eyes, Lin Mo said, “This is a new bulletproof model, impervious to knives and guns. It uses the latest composite material defense armor, extremely effective against attacks from light weapons with calibers below 9mm. Oh, if you don’t believe me, you can lend me a Type 95 or a couple of grenades, and I can demonstrate it for you.”

“No, no, no, that’s enough! I believe you, I believe you!”

“I’m glad you believe me; there’s no need for those things.”

Director Jin and Major Huang quickly shook their heads vigorously. Their fragile little hearts couldn’t take such a beating.

Did this laptop have a grudge against them or something? A handgun, a rifle, and grenades all at once? Was the next step bombing with fighter jets? Was this a laptop or alien technology?

Cold sweat erupted down their backs.

A perfectly good laptop could simply handle programming development and movie watching; why get involved with defense armor? What would tanks and armored vehicles think about that?

The blonde little girl didn’t care about that at all; she quickly snatched the laptop to her chest, feeling it all over, her eyes widening bit by bit.

Bullet and impact marks were everywhere, visible on both the screen and the keyboard. Yet, with a light wipe, she cleaned every mark completely away.

Maisha Wright, as if disbelieving, took a napkin and wiped every corner again; no matter how she folded and rotated the screen, she could find no trace of damage at all, as if it were perfectly sealed with no deformation.

It seemed as if it had never been shot or impacted; after a series of terrifying crashes and rolls, the laptop ran steadily, executing its previous programs without any effect.

So impressive!

The blonde girl quickly shifted from a heavy rain to a light drizzle, then to clouds, finally to a clear sky, as if a magical transformation had occurred. Her two eyebrows curved into crescent moons, happily continuing her work.

The female agent gasped in awe; not only was it powerful, but it also was bulletproof, appearing as new after cleaning. Where on earth was this made? It was too extraordinary!

In their hearts, both the little girl and the gold giant dragon felt triumphant. The gold giant dragon had gained the ability to control the evolution of electronic technology products thanks to the Coin Gold it had received unintentionally, easily simulating this laptop.

“You lose!”

Lin Mo’s smile grew wider.

“I lose!”

The loser didn’t seem at all like a failure; instead, she matched Lin Mo’s victorious smile. Regardless of who won, it seemed the blonde girl was the ultimate winner.

She hugged the artifact-level laptop tightly, unwilling to part with it, her new fondness clearly showing.

With the ups and downs of emotions, the little girl’s fair and tender face flushed like a red apple, making even the female agent feel a surge of maternal protectiveness, wanting to cuddle and care for this doll-like girl.

“I’m coming with you!”

Maisha Wright’s words made Director Jin and Major Huang’s faces change. What’s going on?

“Okay!”

Lin Mo nodded as if it were only natural, deepening the frown on Director Jin and Major Huang’s brows.

The Dragon Knight, who didn’t notice the change in the expressions of those beside him, quietly breathed a sigh of relief. The strengths and weaknesses of a high-IQ girl were equally obvious; as long as he caught the key points, there was no way this little girl wouldn’t comply.

“Wait a minute, ‘Dragon Knight,’ what does this mean?”

Director Jin hurriedly spoke up, confused about the relationship between the two. One moment they seemed like enemies, and the next they were acting like friends. This was too much of a challenge for his nerves.

Lin Mo turned his face and smiled slightly, saying, “This is my bet with Maisha. If she wins, I’ll give her a large sum for settling down. If I win, she’ll have to work for me for life.”

“Isn’t that for us to decide?”

Major Huang presumed it was supposed to be for the country; clearly, they were supposed to capture this little girl to work for the nation, but how did it turn into her following the ‘Dragon Knight’? Did this mean they had nothing to do with it?

What on earth is going on?

The two immediately became displeased, their faces long.
