I Only Have One Piece of Land

Chapter 3

"Did you … hear that?" Abigail's lips were still trembling when she was sent home.

"Yes," the system replied concisely.

"I understand what they're saying." Abigail's voice was trembling.

"Yes, it wasn't easy." The System heaved a long sigh of relief.

"I even talked to them," Abigail pinched her face to make sure she wasn't dreaming, "I talked for a long time!"

That's right. After she finally accepted the damn task of raising five children, she originally wanted to listen to fate and get married and have children. However, God played a big trick on her again.

"Chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp …"

"Guru guru guru guru guru …"

These were all the voices Abigail could hear in this f * cked up society. The only difference was the cadence of the voices. She had tried to communicate with others, but all of them ended in failure.

She could not socialize, she could not listen to music, she could not watch television. The only way to ensure that she did not go crazy was to listen to the mission that the system gave her.

"Abigail wants a can of juice."

Even though she was already looking for the toilet, she still had to take a sip of juice to increase her motivation points by 10.

"Abigail wants to go to a new restaurant. Maybe there will be a beautiful encounter."

Even if she only had ten yuan left in her pocket, she would still walk confidently into a high-class restaurant and order a free glass of water to increase her reward points by 20 points. She would endure the awkwardness and look at life with a smile.

"Abigail wants to be friends with XX."

"Abigail wants to join the chat."

"Abby, Gail wants to show off his new furniture to XXX."

It was only this kind of mission that she really couldn't complete. No matter how thick-skinned she was, pulling a passerby to chat, the mode of talking to a chicken and a duck would cause all the relationships to drop to the freezing point within three sentences.

After countless eye-rolls and countless red bars on her friend list, she decided to be a quiet mute.

She was poor, very poor, very poor. According to the settings, she had used all her money to buy this huge 60 x 60 square foundation. Although this was a very good location, facing the sea, and the flowers were blooming in spring, the scenery could not be used to make a living.

Using the remaining money, she barely managed to build a palm-sized plot of land with a wall. She bought a bed, a toilet, a refrigerator, and a sink. After that, she basically had nothing left.

Be thankful that the roof was free.

Abby Gail sighed when she thought of her dilapidated house. In the beginning, she could only borrow the computer in the library to write some articles and earn some royalties to make a living. At night, she sneaked into the gym and borrowed the free bathhouse to take a shower. When she finally managed to save some money for the shower, she was tragically robbed.

This was robbery!

She was so angry that her teeth itched. She thought that she had met a kind-hearted person who was willing to provide her with a job. She never expected that she would almost be taken away and sold!

When she was wrapped up in the sack and thrown into the trunk of the car, her first thought was that she hadn't paid the bill in her mailbox this week. She didn't know which furniture would be taken away when she got home.

Fortunately, there was a guy in a red one-piece sportswear with a hood over his head!

The robber was knocked down, and a strange guy opened the trunk. Perhaps he didn't expect that there was a living person hiding in the car. The one-piece sportswear didn't know what to do. He gestured a few times, but he didn't know what to do with the beautiful girl in the car whose shoulders were exposed.

He probably wouldn't be able to get a princess hug.

Abigail climbed out of the trunk and gratefully bowed to the sportswear to express her gratitude. However, it would have been better if she didn't thank him. The moment she thanked him, the other party was so scared that he shot out a white silk and swung the tree trunk directly into the distance.

Abigail felt wronged. She straightened her back and looked in the direction that the other party left. She took off the jacket of the unconscious kidnapper on the ground (and stepped on his face while she was at it) and covered it with the short-sleeved shirt that she had torn in her struggle.

After this incident, Abigail knew that she was simply a little fat sheep in this society. Although she didn't have money, her soft blonde hair, delicate face, rosy lips, and big watery eyes …

Was this how a normal person would look like?

Every part of her body must have been pinched with a ruler!

Her breasts were so big, her waist was so thin, and her butt was so perky!

What did she eat growing up?

(System: Yes, she was pinched by daddy!)

Damn!

Abigail began to resist social interaction. She locked the door of her house and always had a cold face in front of strangers. She went home as soon as the sky turned dark. Her only friend was a dog, and it still didn't want to go home with her!

"Sigh!" The System sighed heavily, just like a worried old father.

"What's wrong with you?" Abigail's tone was not bad. She felt that there was hope in life, and everything became pleasing to the eye.

"Sigh!"

The System sighed again and asked, "Didn't you realize why you could understand what they were saying?"

"What?" Abigail was confused.

"Because Iron Man was holding your hand!"

The System was exasperated. "You have to have physical contact with him in order to understand the outside world. Do you understand?!"

"Huh?" Abigail raised her paw. She was so excited that she didn't pay attention to her posture at home.

The System spoke as if it was looking at a delinquent girl, "What are you going to do next?"

"I …" Abigail blinked. "Marry him?"

"Tsk!" The System snorted. "Come, let's take a look at your social relationship progress bar."

It turned on a big screen and clicked on an interface. A row of small avatars appeared in front of Abigail, and the next few rows were the name and character relationship progress bars.

It flipped through a row of red avatars (representing negative numbers) and found a friend it had just met today. "Natasha Romanov, Favorability, -10!"

"Why!

I didn't do anything to her! "Abigail was shocked.

"Women who compare their looks to those of the same sex are all malicious."

The System explained in depth and continued, "Clinton Francis Barton, Favorability, 0!"

It was understandable.

Abigail nodded. After all, he didn't talk to her tonight.

Fish-Lipped woman.

The System glanced contemptuously at Abigail, who felt good about herself, and brought out the finale of the night. "Tony Stark, Favorability, 0!"

"Why!" Abigail's voice became louder. "He talked to me for so long!"

"He was tricking you!

Can't you feel it?! "

The System was exasperated. "My silly daughter, how can Dad be at ease when you're like this!"

"Shut up!"

Abigail was speechless. She flipped through the relationship chart several times in disbelief before she was willing to accept this cruel fact. She couldn't help but feel sad.

She was really a social scum. Even if she could understand what others were saying, she couldn't make friends.

"Think about what to do. It's not a good thing to be targeted by a superhero."

The System proudly prepared to close the interface. Abigail glanced at something and suddenly shouted, "Wait a minute!"

The System quivered and the picture shook.

"Who is this?"

The profile of a young man — or maybe a boy — appeared in the small frame. He had black hair and looked a little arrogant, but he was indeed a handsome boy. This was nothing, but the short green line below his profile was very eye-catching.

"Siris Blake." Abigail whispered, "Why don't I remember knowing him?"

"Oh, oh, oh!" The System cried out. "Favorability 20!

Acquaintance!

You actually have an acquaintance!

You're going to be friends soon! "

Abigail, who had experienced plastic communication, almost cried out. She carefully looked at Siris' profile and confirmed that he could be recognized even if he had a beard and a hat. Only then did she bear to close the interface. "I must meet him!"

"Don't."

The System hesitated. "What if the progress bar turns red again after you meet? Let's keep your relationship mysterious."

This kind of thing happened a lot. Many men saw Abigail's face and as long as she smiled, their favorability would rise, but as soon as she spoke, the rise would quickly fall. The good ones would stop at zero, and the bad ones would go into the negatives.

"I've found a way to understand other people now."

Abigail clenched her fists. "Mr. Stark doesn't have a good impression of me now, but it doesn't mean that he won't in the future.

As long as he gets familiar with me, he'll know that I'm not a dangerous person. He's such a good person, he'll definitely be friends with me! "

The System couldn't bear to hurt her confidence, so it rolled its eyes and went to rest.

The next morning, Abigail got up and put on the most beautiful set of clothes in her closet. She also put on lipstick, and then went to Stark's building with her heart beating wildly.

She died before she could even start.

She didn't expect that she couldn't even get through the door!

Although they exchanged social contacts yesterday, the richest man in New York was too busy to reply to Abigail's message. Due to the language barrier and the lack of an appointment, Abigail couldn't even get past the front desk. She could only wait in front of the building and wait for the moment when Mr. Stark walked out of the door.

She waited and waited until it was dark. She looked up and watched a helicopter leave from the top floor.

"Tsk, how can we be friends with different values?" The System sounded like it was picking its teeth. "He's already forgotten about you. Give up, little sparrow."

It was getting dark. Abigail watched the helicopter turn into a black dot and disappear into the sky. She then walked home reluctantly.

"I didn't even update my novel today …"

"I didn't do a single task. I didn't earn any reward points …"

"I even spent 20 dollars on sandwiches and coffee …"

"Tsk, tsk, tsk." The System wanted to pat Abigail's head. "When you lose your identity as a 'terrorist', you have no value in the eyes of superheroes. Do you understand?"

"But …" But Mr. Stark invited me to watch a movie with him in the future!

"You believe that?"

The System snorted. "The number of girls he invited to watch a movie with him would probably be higher than this building. You should just focus on your tasks."

"I'll go find the dog."

Abigail was dejected. No one talked to her. The System would only attack her. She could only go back and hug the dog.

Just as she lifted her foot, her phone rang. She grabbed the phone and turned from mourning to joy. "Sss, sss, sss, Mr. Stark!"

It was just a voice message. Although she couldn't understand it, she held the phone and spun in circles happily. She listened to the gibberish more than ten times. "Mr. Stark's cadence is so good!"

Ding dong again. The other party sent another emoticon. "Iron Man's Palm Cannon is shooting love at you ~"

The naive Abigail almost fainted. She held her little heart. "He remembers me!

He remembers me! "

The System looked at all this coldly and looked at Abigail's character progress bar.

Tony Stark's Favorability: 0.
