Persatuben Prins
Chapter 2
Lin Sipu suddenly woke up. The sun had just risen, and his thoughts were still stuck on yesterday, as if it had just happened a second ago.
He was still surrounded by dilapidated houses. It seemed that he was still in Spidertail Alley, and that he wasn't dreaming.
"It seems that I can't go back?"
Lin Sipu thought. He realized that he was in the place where he had lost consciousness yesterday, in front of Severus' house.
"But in my current state … how is this possible?
What's the reason? "
Severus' house was quiet. There was no quarrel like Lin Sipu had imagined. Maybe Tobia hadn't come back yesterday, or maybe he was lying in bed drunk?
Whatever, it had nothing to do with him anyway.
Lin Sipu was most concerned about Severus' situation.
"Severus, are you there?"
Lin Sipu called out. After confirming that no one except Severus could hear Lin Sipu.
Severus obviously heard the noise. He heard the sound of hurried footsteps. The door was quietly opened, and a boy came out from inside.
Severus' dirty little face was pleasantly surprised. "Mr. Prins!"
"You seem to have grown taller?"
Lin Sipu was surprised. It had only been one night, but he could see that Severus had grown a lot taller.
"You slept for a long time, sir."
Severus felt a little wronged. This was the only person he could interact with in a friendly manner, and he had even given him something good. In the end, he slept for such a long time that Severus thought it was just his imagination.
Lin Sipu realized that something was wrong with the time. "How long have I slept?"
"About a year, sir," Severus said.
"Oh my God, or should I say, Merlin, I slept for so long?" Lin Sipu was surprised. "I didn't realize that." He had to plan how to feed the little professor, but his plan couldn't keep up with the changes. Was he supposed to feed him once a year?
It didn't work at all …
"It's none of your business, sir. When I wake up every day, I feel like I fell asleep not long ago."
"I'm sorry. If it's possible, maybe I can write you something today to make it up to you?" Lin Sipu asked.
This obviously pleased Severus. "I think I can spend more time with you after helping my mother, sir." He paused. "Give me a few hours, maybe two." He would help his mother finish her work as soon as possible, and leave the rest of his time to himself.
Irene didn't mind her son running around, even though he was only five years old.
Lin Sip nodded and stood quietly at the door, waiting for his little friend to come out.
'Irene is such a fool. For love, she's even willing to give up her son.' Lin Shipu understood everything about Severus from various sources. 'The cowardly Tobia, attributing all the unhappiness to a child who just started to understand things.'
'Luckily, my professor isn't too crooked.
And Lily, Lily Evans. 'Lin Sipu kept a wait-and-see attitude towards Lily.' What if … I'm thinking, if I can occupy the soft spot in the young professor's heart, then the future professor won't be bitten to death by Nagini in order to protect Harry?
'But in my current state, how can I occupy too much time in the professor's life?
One in three hundred?
How can that compare to the time they spend together every day in the future? '
'It's better to be fully prepared.
I remember I should have a mutated plant to save my life.
And an antidote.
I have to make sure nothing goes wrong. '
'I really wish I could read a book about potions. That would be an extra layer of protection. Education should start from a young age. Maybe I can explain some things about plants to the little professor.'
Lin Sipu's thoughts were running wild. He didn't know where to go.
Severus called Lin Sipu back to reality.
Only then did he realize that it was already close to noon.
Severus was holding a piece of dry bread that looked like it had been left out for two days.
Lin Sipu frowned the whole way and let Severus lead him forward.
They arrived at a mountain top. It was early spring. A slightly slanted tree was trying to welcome the arrival of spring with its leaves.
"Sir, we're here. This is the place. I like lying here." Severus stopped and sat down.
He looked into the distance and chewed on the dry bread in his hand.
The emerald green here was a completely different world from the gloomy Spider Tail Alley.
Lin Sipu could vaguely feel that this was where Severus and Lily had met.
Lin Sipu sat on the ground. He couldn't stand it anymore. He took out a box of yogurt, a sandwich bread and a can of luncheon meat.
These were all things he'd collected during the apocalypse. Fortunately, these things weren't spoiled and his dimension had a fresh-keeping effect.
However, it could only store lifeless things.
Severus was once again excited by Lin Sipu's actions. He knew from his mother that they were both wizards, but he'd never seen her use magic. Out of curiosity, he'd secretly rummaged through his mother's box. However, apart from a book full of runes, he didn't find anything new.
"Eat this. You're still young. You need more nutrition." Lin Sipu handed the food to Severus.
Severus took it carefully. "Don't you need some, sir?"
Lin Sipu realized that he wasn't hungry after hearing Severus' question. "I don't think I'm hungry."
"Alright." Severus didn't ask any more questions. He assumed that wizards wouldn't feel hungry easily.
Lin Sipu silently watched Severus eat. For someone who lived in fear during the apocalypse, this was a kind of happiness. Moreover, the person in front of him was the person he liked the most.
With Lin Sipu's permission, Severus prepared to bring the luncheon meat home for his mother. Severus often resented his alcoholic father.
Lin Sipu didn't mind. Luncheon meat shouldn't have appeared in this era.
"Can you tell me more about wizards, sir?" Severus asked. Children who were full always wanted to hear more stories.
"Of course." Lin Sipu thought that he should be able to talk about some basic things so that the professor wouldn't know anything when he enrolled in the academy.
"First, you need to go to school." Lin Sipu thought for a moment. "You'll learn a lot about wizards there. Of course, I mean, it's a special school for wizards."
"School?
Can I go to school too? "
Severus hesitated. "But I don't have money. My father won't let me go to school. Maybe my mother will, but she probably doesn't want me to learn about wizards."
"The school will send you an admission letter after your tenth birthday. They'll know who needs to go to school."
Lin Si Pu paused for a moment and said with uncertainty, "I think, other than the school supplies, there's nothing else to spend. Hmm, maybe they'll make an exception for some children, such as a Muggle wizard?" After all, it was impossible for a Muggle to have the magic world's currency.
"What's a Muggle?" Severus had never heard of this word before.
"The wizarding world is also divided into classes. Like commoners and nobles."
Lin Sipu tried to make Severus understand. After Severus nodded, he continued. "There are three types of wizards in the wizarding world. Pure-bloods are the offspring of wizards. Commoners who don't know magic are born to Muggles." Lin Sipu paused and looked at Severus.
"What about the last type?"
"Half-bloods," Lin Sipu continued. "If one parent is a wizard and the other a commoner, the child will be called a half-blood."
Severus seemed to understand something. "Then … I'm a half-blood?
It sounds worse than being born a Muggle. "
Lin Sipu seemed to have thought of something. "But the wizarding world won't look down on you because of your background. As long as you want to, you can become a great wizard."
For example, Severus Snape, the future Master Potion Maker. It's not only because you've inherited the blood of the Prins, but also because you've worked hard.
"Oh, right. The most important thing for you to do after receiving the admission notice is to buy your own magic wand." Lin Sipu changed the topic.
"Magic wand?" Severus was intrigued.
"That's right. Every Magus has their own Demonic Palm, which belongs to them."
Lin Sipu gestured with his hand. "It's about this long. Of course, there are special ones that are shorter or longer."
"Wow, that's amazing. Does my mother have one too?"
"If she's a wizard, then my answer is yes."
Severus smiled happily. His smile was imprinted in Lin Deep's eyes. It was hard to believe that Severus would turn into a greasy old bat that didn't like to smile and had a sharp tongue at every turn.
Thinking back to the various videos he'd seen before the apocalypse, he had to admit that Severus looked really cool with his fluttering black robe.
And the Professor's future godson.
If he could see Draco one day, he would definitely sneak into Draco's house and see how cute the little prince was when he was young.
Happy times always passed by in a flash.
Severus was even more reluctant to say goodbye to Lin Sipu today. The man in front of him was someone only he could see. Even though he didn't smile much, he still made Severus feel warmth. Severus was reluctant to part with him. After all, the next time they met again might be a year later.
"Don't worry, Severus. I'll always be here. You can always come here to find me."
Lin Sipu thought for a moment and said, "I'll leave some food for you in the tree hollow. You're the only one who can see it anyway, so don't worry." He had to find a way to feed Severus.
Severus suddenly stepped forward and hugged Lin Sipu. Even though he only touched air, Lin Sipu felt like he was touching Severus. He was so stiff that he didn't dare to move.
A few seconds later, Severus' ears turned red. He said shyly, "Mr. Prins, see you next time!" He turned around and ran away.
