Persatuben Prins
Chapter 3
"As expected, it's been a year since I woke up.
Maybe it's even longer? "
The tree in front of him was glowing green, and the leaves were even denser than before. The food under the tree had already been eaten, which proved that a long time had passed.
There was no one nearby, and the only thing he could hear was the chirping of insects.
It seemed that time didn't mean anything to Lin Sipu in his soul state. When Lin Sipu came back to his senses, he saw a black-haired boy walking towards him with something in his arms.
It was Severus. The six-year-old Severus had already started to become more mature.
Severus seemed to have seen him, but he didn't shout out in joy. Instead, he smiled faintly at Lin Sip. His old clothes that didn't fit, and his messy black hair that had never been trimmed, made him look particularly pitiful. His pair of black, shiny eyes seemed to be able to speak.
The people of Spidertail Alley might dislike Severus because of his appearance, but in Lin Sipu's eyes, little Severus was the most lovable child in the world.
When Severus walked up to him, the two of them sat down side by side. Lin Sipu waited for Severus to talk about what had happened in the past year.
"Mr. Prins." Severus patted the book in his hands at Lin Sipu. "Look, this is mother's book. She said it's about magic potions."
Lin Sipu looked at the cover carefully and was surprised to find that he could understand it.
It was a book about magic potions.
"Mother would teach me when she was in a good mood." Severus paused. "When father wasn't home, of course."
Lin Sipu listened quietly.
"I asked mother about the wand, but she was a little angry, so I didn't dare ask again," Severus said regretfully.
"Then Severus, what do you want to ask me?" Lin Sipu could clearly see the question in Severus' eyes.
"About the wand, magic potions, anything. I want to know."
Severus suddenly felt a sense of urgency. "I want to become stronger, so that father —" When father hits mother, I can protect her.
"The wand can guide a wizard to use magic even more excitedly."
Lin Sipu said, "Of course, you can still cast a spell without a wand, but it will be very difficult and dangerous."
Severus's eyes lit up. He wanted to continue listening.
"Don't tell me you want to learn the Wandless Curse?
Merlin, you're still too young. "
After saying that, he saw Severus's little face turn dejected.
"To be honest, I've never used a curse before."
"But sir, what about the Achnatherum you summoned from your palm?" Severus asked.
"Hmm …" Lin Sipu thought for a moment. "That should be some kind of talent?
There are some Magi who have their own special talents, such as changing the color of their hair. "For example, Magus, who had changed his appearance.
"Amazing, but I don't have any talent at all."
"No, Severus, you're amazing," Lin Sipu encouraged.
"How is that possible?" Severus didn't believe it.
"Let's say, Severus, you already have a book about magic potions," Lin Sipu said.
"You can learn this book, and you'll become the best Master Potioneer. You should know that Master Potioneers are very rare in the world of magic.
You see, you're the only one who can touch the plants in my hand. Isn't that a talent?
Merlin wants you to learn how to use them. "
Severus was clearly encouraged.
"Now, I think you need milk."
Lin Sipu took out an unopened carton of milk. "You need to grow."
Severus took the carton with a smile.
"Sure, can you tell me something about you in the past year?" Lin Sipu searched for the right words. "I think we can talk about our troubles?
Something like that? "
"Thank you very much for the food, sir.
My mother had doubts about it, but she didn't ask. It made our lives less difficult. You know, my father never cared if bread was fresh or if we could afford it. "
"I actually hoped that my mother would teach me more words. That way, I wouldn't have such a hard time reading."
"My mother gave me this book, and I hid it somewhere. Otherwise, my father would be angry if he saw it.
I think she wanted me to learn it, too, right? "
Severus recounted everything that had happened in the past year. For example, Tobia breaking the only pot in the house, he was bullied by the children in the alley, and his mother's sudden change in attitude.
This made Lin Sipu feel very uncomfortable.
"Severus, why are you telling me such sad things?" Lin Sipu asked. "This will make you sad again."
"It's all in the past," Severus said seriously.
"Also, sir, you must be very bored after sleeping for so long. I want to tell you as many things as I can.
But I don't seem to have many happy things.
I'm sorry, sir. "
Not only do you not have many, you don't even have any, okay? Lin Sipu shouted in his mind.
Severus, is it worth it for you to go to such lengths for someone you've only met three times?
"Severus, do you want to know where I come from?" Lin Sipu changed the subject.
"It would be my pleasure."
Severus put down the potion book and became an excellent listener. Lin Sipu couldn't help but want to pat his head.
"There are no wizards in my world, but we all have special talents. For example, I can control the growth of plants, and I can conjure water or fire. Oh, we don't need wands."
"Of course, we also have ordinary people, people who don't have these talents."
"The talents live with ordinary people. Unlike wizards, they have their own world that Muggles can't enter."
"But the world is very dangerous. There are terrifying creatures that kill without restraint. We are responsible for eliminating them, and ordinary people provide us with other resources."
Lin Sipu didn't go into too much detail. Considering that Severus was only six or seven years old, Lin Sipu still hoped that Severus could be more sunny, even though there were many dark things happening in Spidertail Alley.
So, it was better not to talk about it.
"Then, sir, how did you come here?" Severus asked.
I'm confused too, thought Lin Sipu.
"I came here by accident. Perhaps it was Merlin who gave me this opportunity because I wanted to meet you. Hmm … I mean, I've always wanted to find a world with wizards." Lin Sipu thought to himself, but he said, "I came here by accident. Perhaps it was Merlin who gave me this opportunity.
I want to watch you grow up with you. Maybe then you won't have anything to do with Lily, and you can have a happy ending.
"Merlin is so nice," Severus said with a smile. "Merlin must be very powerful, right?"
"Of course." Lin Sipu suddenly wanted to tell Severus everything he knew, but that might scare him. "He's a very powerful wizard with powerful magic. He can also predict things with great accuracy. He's studying Slytherin in Hogwarts."
"Hogwarts?"
"Yes, you'll study there in the future and learn everything about magic. Hogwarts is the name of the school. It's divided into four schools: the brave Gryffindor, the smart Slytherin, the smart Ravenclaw, and the friendly Hufflepuff."
"That sounds amazing," Severus exclaimed.
"I really hope I can enter Slytherin," Lin Sipu said.
"Why?"
"Because —" Because there's you, Professor, my favorite professor.
"Nothing, I just like it."
"Then I want to go too!
Slytherin! "Severus clenched his fists.
"You like it too?
You don't even know what it means. "Lin Sipu smiled at Severus.
"Because you like it. I want to go to the same school as you."
Lin Sipu's heart warmed at Severus' words.
Professor, if you keep this up, will Lily be able to be with you?
But why does it still hurt so much?
As time passed, Lin Sipu could only spend one day a year with Severus to talk to this troubled child. Obviously, it didn't work. Severus grew more and more taciturn with each passing day.
Until one day, when Severus suddenly said that Lin Sipu was about to disappear. Lin Sipu finally realized that things were worse than he had imagined. Fortunately, Severus was already nine years old. It was the year he met Lily.
On the eve of Severus' birthday, Lin Sipu rummaged through the corner of his space and found the Slytherin necklace he had bought as a souvenir.
"Severus, you're the best kid I've ever met. You'll be the best Potion Master in the future." Lin Sipu felt that his time was almost up. Perhaps he would soon return to his original world and never see the young professor again. He could only tell him everything. "Always carry an antidote with you. You might need it at any time. Don't mistreat yourself. You're a little wizard who knows how to cast a magic spell without a staff." Lin Sipu remembered the spell and had taught Severus a few harmless spells before.
"You have to believe in yourself. We'll meet again. Definitely." Lin Sipu didn't want to upset Severus too much.
However, the nine-year-old boy clearly understood that this separation might be permanent. Tears welled up in his stubborn little face.
Severus hung Lin Sipu's gift around his neck. Tears fell from his eyes as he watched Lin Sipu's figure disappear.
He sat under the tree for a long time. Tomorrow was his birthday. It was probably the happiest and saddest birthday of Severus in his short nine years of life.
