The Seventh Week
Chapter 14
Naruto watched as Sako walked out of the classroom. He loosened his grip, then clenched it again. He suddenly stood up from his seat and chased after her.
"Sako …"
"Sako, are you going home alone?
Do you need me to send you home? "
Iruca brushed past him. He saw Iruca holding Sako's shoulders. She lowered her head and spoke to Sako with the same gentle smile that he had seen countless times.
The hand holding the door frame slowly relaxed, and the brilliance in Naruto's eyes dimmed. He looked at Sasako's back with some disappointment as she got farther and farther away from his sight.
Sako tilted her head and looked at Iruca. She felt helpless. "Sensei, I …"
"Sako."
Sako raised her head. Shisui, who was wearing a black ninja uniform, walked over and pulled Sako into his arms. "Little princess, let's go."
Shisui looked at Iruca and laughed heartily. "There's no need to trouble Iruca. I'll pick her up."
Iruca looked at the back of the man who was leaving with Sako. The two red round fans leaned against each other.
In a trance, the figure seemed to overlap with the one from a long time ago.
What was he thinking? That person was already …
123, 124 … Sako lowered her head and counted the limestone tiles under her feet.
"Sako, how was school today?" Shisui put his hands in his pockets and stole a glance at Sako. He awkwardly tried to find a topic to talk about.
"Not bad." Sako replied nonchalantly.
"Ah."
Shisui rubbed his nose after being rebuffed. The villain in his heart silently knelt down and cried. He really didn't know how to date such a big girl. He didn't even have a brother since he was young. What could he do? "By the way, I haven't asked you yet. What happened during the two years you disappeared?"
As soon as he finished asking, Shisui wanted to give his useless mouth a slap. Why did he have to touch the pot that didn't boil?
Sako finally turned her head. She had been counting in her heart. There was no point in continuing. "Didn't Brother tell you?"
"Huh?" Shisui looked at Sako in confusion. Tell him? What?
"Really? I didn't know." Sako understood.
It seemed that her parents and brother had been keeping this secret for her.
Her heart felt warm and tears almost fell from her eyes.
"Don't worry, Brother Shisui. I'm fine. You don't have to be so careful."
Sako looked at Shisui's hands and feet and smiled. "Compared to this, what are we going to eat tonight?"
Eat, eat what?!
Shisui's face suddenly stiffened.
Could he say that when his parents were still alive, he would always go home and eat his mother's cooking?
After that incident, he was muddle-headed. If he wasn't eating soldier grain pills, he would go to the izakaya to drink.
No wonder he didn't have a girlfriend at this age. If this continued, he would definitely be alone for the rest of his life.
Sako held a red tomato in her hand. Her expression was serious as if she was thinking about a major problem in life.
"So, you can just buy this tomato scrambled egg. Do you want one or two?" Zuo Zi turned her head and looked at Shisui with a hopeful look.
Shisui coughed and took out his wallet. "Madam, give me ten!"
Carrying a large pile of tomatoes, Shisui felt a little proud of his "magnificent feat" of taking out his wallet with a wave of his hand. As if he was fighting on a strange battlefield, Shisui's eyes lit up as he began to immerse himself in the egg selection battle.
"Uchiha … Shisui?"
Shisui, who wanted to go all out, straightened his back and silently turned around. He saw the junior wearing a mask staring at him with dead eyes.
His excitement instantly disappeared and was replaced by an inexplicable sense of shame.
Kakashi looked down and saw the familiar girl next to Shisui.
Ah, I remember now. She's the one in the forest.
This child's entire family seemed to have sacrificed themselves that night. Is she being taken care of by Shisui -senpai?
After greeting his senpai, Kakashi's gaze stopped on Sako for a while. Then, he quickly moved to another stall to buy saury.
He poked Shisui's waist and stiffly lowered his head. "Who's that silver-haired guy?"
"That's Hatake Kakashi." Shisui hesitated. "He's called the genius copy ninja."
"Copy?" Sako turned around and looked at the eye-catching silver broom head.
"Sako, do you know him?"
"Yeah. He was the one who found me when I first came back."
"Oh?
Then he's our family's savior. Should we invite him over? "Shisui rubbed his head and smiled.
Sako looked at Shisui as if he was looking at an idiot. "Are you serious?"
"Huh?" Why is Osako looking at me like that??
In the kitchen.
Shisui clumsily held a round egg. He carefully grabbed the edge of the egg with both hands and broke it open.
Ah … Oh no …
Sako looked at Shisui's dumbfounded expression. She walked over and patted Shisui's shoulder. "Let me do it." She solemnly picked up the other poor egg.
Shisui looked at Sako's back. As expected of Sako … Shisui looked at Sako's hand that was also covered in broken eggs. Shisui silently turned his head and pretended that he didn't know anything.
Damn it … Sako frowned in annoyance.
Shisui put the sliced tomatoes and eggs into the pot. He held the spatula in his hand but didn't know where to start. So, should he start the fire?
"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique." Sako thought for a moment when she heard Shisui mumbling to himself. Then, she spat out flames from her mouth.
Ahhh, what are you doing?
Shisui pulled Zuo Zi back and protected her in his embrace. A huge explosion sounded and Shisui's curly hair was scalded into a bird's nest.
Looking at Sako who was looking at him innocently, Shisui wanted to cry but had no tears.
"Sorry to disturb you." The two of them said in unison.
Seiji Uchiha scratched his head. "So, did you guys blow up the kitchen?"
Seiji Uchiha's gaze softened when he saw the serious Sako and Shisui pretending to be calm. "Come in."
"My sister will be done cooking soon." Seiji Uchiha let the two of them sit on the stacked mattress. He looked at Sako and smiled. "Sako is finally back."
"Hello, Brother Kiyoshi." Sako greeted Kiyoshi obediently.
Kiyoshi paused. He fumbled in his pocket clumsily, but he couldn't find the apple candy that he always carried with him.
"Sorry, Sako. Brother Kiyoshi forgot to bring you candy today …" He smiled bitterly. It was as if he had returned to two years ago.
The calmness that he had been pretending to be was suddenly broken. "Sorry, Sako …" Kiyoshi covered his eyes and lowered his head. He was really too useless …
"Kiyoshi, what's wrong?"
A beautiful ninja with long hair gently held Kiyoshi's shoulder from behind. She lowered her head. "Don't be like that in front of the guests."
Uchiha looked up at Sako with a smile. "Sako is back. You've grown up and become prettier."
Kiyoshi quickly rubbed his eyes. "Look at me, what am I doing? Sako, I made your favorite tomato scrambled eggs today. Eat more."
Sako walked out of the courtyard with Shisui. She turned around and looked at the silent house in the dark.
Brother Kiyoshi's parents were also …
"Sako."
Zuo Zi turned her head. Her body was suddenly lifted into the air and she was brought into a warm embrace.
"Let's go." Shisui picked up Sako with one hand and walked home with a smile.
"Shisui, you idiot!" Sako, who was extremely uncomfortable from being strangled, shouted angrily.
"Hey?" This wasn't how the script was written. What happened to being a good brother?
Inside the house.
"Xiao Qing, sister needs to go out for a while."
Kiyoshi stood at the door, leaning against the door frame. "Are you going to find Ryuki again?"
Zao Ji stopped in her tracks. "Xiao Qing, I won't be with that person."
"No, you misunderstood me."
Kiyoshi laughed self-deprecatingly. "Uchiha is like this now. No one will stop you."
Kiyoshi paused and stood up straight. His black eyes rippled. "Sister, no matter what, it's good that you're happy."
