The Seventh Week

Chapter 5

Today was Sako's fifth birthday.

Sako, who wanted to stay in bed, was pulled out of bed by her brother. Sako, who was clinging onto her brother like an octopus, was still half-asleep when her brother dressed her in a beautiful kimono.

Wiping her tears, Sako opened her eyes and looked at her neatly combed hairstyle in the mirror. She was overjoyed.

"Onii-san, did you invite my friends?"

"I already sent them an invitation."

"Then what about Naruto? Did you send Naruto his invitation?"

"Don't worry, I did." Itachi, who was so angry that he looked like a pufferfish, answered the little princess in a muffled voice.

Satisfied, Zuo Zi grinned and settled down. She waited for the birthday party to begin with full expectation.

Neji followed behind his father and walked into the Uchiha Clan's residence. The residence that once looked dull and oppressive from a distance was now full of bright flags and streamers.

Those unsmiling ninjas that appeared in his memory were gathered together, talking and laughing, and children were running around in the hall.

Neji looked at the little girl in a gorgeous kimono surrounded by people from afar.

He was slightly surprised. The rumored Uchiha princess, was she?

"Naruto, where's my present?" Sako reached out her hand, her big eyes shining with anticipation.

Naruto looked at the people around him, grabbed Sako's hand and ran outside. "Come with me."

"Eh?"

Sako, who was curious, excitedly ran behind Naruto. "What's that? Why is it so mysterious?"

Naruto didn't stop until they reached a secluded courtyard. Blushing, he took out an oiled paper bag from his shirt pocket and handed it to Sako. "Here, apple candy."

"Eh?" Sako held the candy with both hands and looked at Naruto in surprise.

"You don't have to be so stingy. I can buy it for you."

Naruto's golden hair seemed to shimmer under the sunlight.

Zuo Zi unconsciously pressed the candy to her chest, and her heart thumped loudly.

Strange, Sako's heart was beating so fast.

"Thank, thank you." Sako gripped the bag tightly, regretting her sudden heartbeat.

"You're welcome."

Naruto smiled happily when he saw Sako accept the present. Although he could only eat instant noodles for a month, he felt happy when he saw Sako's smile.

Sako said goodbye to her friends one by one in the evening.

When it was Naruto's turn, he smiled and took the boy's hand. "Let's go. I'll go back with you."

"Eh?

Why? "

"There's no why??

Laziness!

Lute?

Earthworm?

'You say that you have Mu Cheng Yao's head?'

Twilight? danger?

Ugh, sick!

Sako followed Naruto like a bodyguard and sent Naruto to the run-down building.

Sako stood at the entrance with a sly smile. "Okay, I know where you live now. If you disappear again, I'll go to your house to find you." Sako felt that she was very smart.

"Okay, I'll wait at home for Sako to find me."

Sako's ears turned red. She kicked a pebble on the side of the road uncomfortably. "Hurry up then."

"Sako, are you going back by yourself?

Let me send you back. "

"What are you talking about, you idiot Naruto. If I send you back, you'll send me back. Okay, hurry up."

Sako pushed Naruto into the staircase. She turned around and ran away as if she was afraid that the person behind her would catch up.

"Are you okay?"

Ning Ji held the little girl who threw herself at him. He was surprised when he saw her face. "Why are you always so reckless?"

Sako scrambled to get up from Ning Ji. She would never run so fast again. It was so embarrassing.

Zuo Zi, who turned the corner without even looking, threw herself on the other person and apologized in a childish voice.

"Why are you still outside at this time?"

"I'm here to send Naruto off."

Naruto?

That name again. Ning Ji looked at Sako with understanding.

"I haven't said happy birthday to you yet."

"Oh?

You know it's my birthday today? "Sako looked up and immediately brightened up.

"I'll give you the present next time."

Ning Ji rubbed the little girl's head. Although he already gave the present to the Uchiha family at the party, he didn't even know who it was.

"Well, don't forget it." Feeling a little wronged, Zuo Zi forgave Ningji generously.

"By the way, I still don't know your name."

"I am …" Sako watched as Ning Ji slowly fell down in front of her, revealing the ninja who appeared beside them.

She froze on the spot, watching the strange ninja bend down in front of her and carry Neji on his shoulder. Her little head still couldn't understand what was going on. A weak voice came from her throat. "Don't …"

She felt a sharp pain in her right eye.

Sako covered her eye and bent down. "No!!"

The wind blew, and the fallen leaves bounced on the ground.

There was a boy in white lying alone on the ground.

Where … is this?

Sako opened her eyes and propped herself up. All she could see was an endless garbage dump.

Sako rubbed her eyes in confusion. When she opened them again, the scene in front of her didn't change.

"Brother, Dad, Mom?"

Sako rolled down the garbage dump. She struggled to get up, tears welling up in her eyes.

"If one day Sako suddenly appears in a strange place, don't be afraid. Sako will find her way home. Believe in Mom, okay?"

Sako remembered how her mother trembled and hugged her in her arms. Her voice was filled with complex emotions that Sako couldn't understand.

She couldn't be afraid. She was the Lord Satoko with a group of followers. How could she be scared?

Clenching his fists, Zuo Zi silently cheered himself on.

Pulling her fist out of the man's chest, Irumi threw the heart aside and glanced at the garbage dump. A corner of her kimono was faintly visible.

Irumi stood there for a while before she turned around and left.

Sako hid behind the garbage dump with her hand on her chest. When she felt Irumi's presence disappear, she let out a sigh of relief.

"Wow, I caught a little cutie."

Her line of sight was suddenly raised, and Zuo Zi was lifted up by the back of her neck. Her line of sight was stuffed with a big face covered with messy paint. "Quick, put me down quickly!" Zuo Zi kicked her short legs, and her hands struggled to reach back.

"Where did this kid come from?"

The man with clown makeup smiled as he looked at the struggling Zuo Zi in his hand.

With a bang, the smoke dispersed, and the child that he had been holding in his hand just a moment ago disappeared.

Caesar was stupefied for a while. His eyes were filled with interest.

With a creepy smile that could scare a kid, the clown hummed a creepy song while calling Sako. "Little rabbit, where did you go?

Don't be afraid, Grandma is coming for you ~ "

Sako, hiding behind the garbage dump with her clone technique, trembled.

Mom, she met the legendary demon king who ate children.

"I found you ~"

She turned her head and saw the clown's face.
